JOB PURPOSE

Quality or Process Excellence team supports the business in creating an ‘Improvement-oriented’ culture by way of quality training programs, process improvement support and process standardization. In addition, the team engages in various consulting engagements (based onshore or offshore) to solve specific business problems using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Role would require the candidate to be the point of contact for the client(s) supporting the end to end project/ program or Quality Deployment effort assigned to her/him (offshore or onshore)
He or she would be responsible to deliver on the project/ program goals while closely working with the clients.
The role holder would need to lead large projects or mentor projects in the assigned program/ business area. He/she would work closely with the client (internal/ external) and would be responsible for process improvement/excellence goals for that area.
Role would include deployment responsibilities for the assigned business area which includes identifying and maintaining project pipeline, maintaining process excellence communication channels and developing process improvement/ excellence capabilities within the business area.
The role may require travel to client location on need basis

Experience & Qualification for Black Belt
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelors in Engineering or commerce
Essential: Six Sigma/Lean trained at a Black Belt or equivalent level
Desired: Black Belt certification
Experience:
Years of Experience:
6Years to 11 Yrs , with at least 3 - 5 years in a process improvement role

Nature of Experience:
(Area/Function/Environment/Domain/Product)
Must have experience of leading large projects.
Onshore consulting experience would be an advantage.
Exposure to BFSI segment will be preferred.

Essential Skills / Aptitude:
- Thorough knowledge of Quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, etc
- Excellent client management skills- Ability to interact with clients onshore and manage expectations effectively.
- Ability to interact and work with a cross functional geographically dispersed team (onshore and offshore).
- Ability to handle change - Effectively manages ad hoc situations within required timeframes/queries and quality standards
- Strong project management skills and mentoring ability
- Excellent analytical skills: ability to identify patterns in data and draw appropriate conclusions
- Ability to build a process improvement culture, demonstrating flexibility and initiative in achieving the desired outcome
- Updates and maintains own expertise, shares this with colleagues and provides guidance to the team
